THE BEAUTY OF GOLFING
Pheasant Country Golf Course offers a rewarding yet challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. To get the most enjoyment from your round, we recommend playing from the tees that best match your ability. Consider factors such as your driving distance, overall skill level, and handicap (if applicable) to ensure the best experience on the course.
Factors that should not determine which set of tees you play include your age and/or your gender.

HOLE 1 | PAR 4
Red: 276 | White: 312 | Blue: 320 | HDCP: 15
Hole 1 welcomes golfers with a generously expanded landing area and a wide, forgiving fairway, setting the stage for a confident opening tee shot. However, strategically placed fairway bunkers demand accuracy right from the start.
The green’s unique shape adds an extra layer of challenge, particularly with tournament pin placements on the right. While there are no bunkers surrounding the green, the mounded contours along the right side require precise approach shots for a favorable putt.
A well-planned and well-executed strategy can set players up for a birdie - an excellent way to begin the round at Pheasant Country Golf Course.

HOLE 2 | PAR 3
Red: 140 | White: 150 | Blue: 158 | HDCP: 13
Once a sharp dogleg par 4, Hole 2 has been transformed into a scenic and challenging par 3. This hole now offers a more direct but still demanding approach.
A spacious teeing ground allows for a variety of setups, keeping the hole fresh and strategic. The wide fairway provides some forgiveness, but precision is key - especially when the pin is placed on the right, where a protective bunker guards the green.
A well-placed tee shot sets up a great chance for par or even a birdie, making this redesigned hole both approachable and rewarding.

HOLE 3 | PAR 5
Red: 440 | White: 530 | Blue: 550 | HDCP: 7
Hole 3 has undergone the most significant redesign on the course. It is now stretched an additional 150 yards, evolving from an almost reachable par 4 into a challenging par 5 with a slight dogleg left.
Players looking to cut the corner by carrying over the trees face a true risk-reward decision, with treetops, thick native grasses, and a strategically placed bunker lying in wait. Those who play it safe down the middle will find the fairway the best path to success.
The approach to the green demands precision, as the small putting surface is tightly guarded by bunkers on both sides. Shot placement is crucial at every stage of this hole, with birdies - and even the rare eagle - possible for those who execute their strategy flawlessly.

HOLE 4 | PAR 3
Red: 173 | White: 182 | Blue: 194 | HDCP: 2
Hole 4 is a demanding long par 3. A spacious teeing ground allows for a variety of setups, ensuring a fresh challenge each round.
While the fairway provides plenty of room, the green is well-defended by bunkers on both sides, requiring precise shot placement to avoid trouble. A well-struck tee shot sets up a great chance to walk away with par - or even an occasional birdie.

HOLE 5 | PAR 5
Red: 399 | White: 499 | Blue: 515 | HDCP: 12
Hole 5 is a well-designed par 5 that rewards precision and strategy, favoring a slight draw off the tee.
The fairway offers a generous landing area, but a strategically placed bunker on the right demands accuracy. The second shot is just as critical - players must find the right position to set up a manageable approach, as the green is well-guarded by bunkers on both sides.
While this hole presents a tempting birdie or even eagle opportunity, aggressive play can backfire. The fairway narrows significantly near the green, and any miscalculated shot could land in the thick native grass, making for a tough recovery. Smart, well-placed shots are the key to conquering this par 5.

HOLE 6 | PAR 4
Red: 300 | White: 355 | Blue: 422 | HDCP: 5
Hole 6 plays as a challenging par 4. The wide fairway offers plenty of room, but with native grass lining both sides, accuracy off the tee remains essential.
The real test comes on the approach. The green is mounded and well-guarded by bunkers on both sides, with a significant right-to-left slope. A tucked pocket in the back-left corner creates a tough tournament pin placement, demanding precise shot execution.
Though it may seem straightforward, this hole requires careful strategy - only well-placed approach shots will yield a birdie opportunity.

HOLE 7 | PAR 3
Red: 142 | White: 147 | Blue: 151 | HDCP: 4
Hole 7 has undergone a complete transformation, with a newly rebuilt green and redesigned complex. Previously, the extreme surface contour made it difficult to hold a tee shot, but the renovation has created a more balanced and playable green while maintaining its challenge.
This par 3 now features an expanded teeing area and a defined fairway landing zone. Green protection has been significantly enhanced with the addition of bunkers on both the left and right, demanding an accurate tee shot.
While the improvements provide better playability, precision is still key - only well-placed shots will lead to a makeable par.

HOLE 8 | PAR 4
Red: 310 | White: 403/368 | Blue: 409 | HDCP: 4
Hole 8 is a strategic par 4 with a dogleg left that tempts aggressive players to cut the corner over the trees, though the risk of trouble is high.
The safer play is to follow the designed fairway route, setting up a controlled approach to the well-protected green. Bunkers on both sides guard the putting surface, and the middle of the green slopes off in both directions, making pin placement a key factor.
Precision is crucial - only a well-placed approach will secure a solid par opportunity on this challenging hole.

HOLE 9 | PAR 5
Red: 400 | White: 508 | Blue: 520 | HDCP: 8
Hole 9 has seen a major transformation. The once sharply sloping fairway has been significantly flattened, creating a more even playing surface. Additionally, tree clearing has widened the fairway, making it more forgiving off the tee.
A creek crossing provides a clear view of the green, setting up a precise third shot into a well-guarded putting surface. Bunkers on both sides demand accuracy, while the back of the green complex has been softened by raising and filling in the deep cut that previously made recoveries more difficult.
With improved contours and playability, golfers now have a better chance to save par or set up a birdie - but precision remains key on this finishing hole.

HOLE 10 | PAR 4
Red: 337 | White: 441 | Blue: 450 | HDCP: 1
Hole 10 is a long and challenging par 4. The wide fairway provides a forgiving landing area, but tall trees line both sides, emphasizing the importance of an accurate tee shot.
The real challenge comes on the approach - players must navigate a tight entry to the green, squeezed by trees on the right and a creek on the left. The green itself has been completely rebuilt, with the right-side contours softened for improved playability. A front right-side bunker adds another layer of protection.
The smart strategy is to favor the left side of the green’s roll-off area, setting up a manageable chip if needed. Well-executed shots can still leave a solid birdie opportunity, but precision is key to scoring well on this tough par 4.

HOLE 11 | PAR 4
Red: 300 | White: 334 | Blue: 348 | HDCP: 10
Once a reachable par 4, Hole 11 now presents a classic risk-reward decision off the tee. This hole tempts aggressive players to go for the green - but danger lurks on both sides.
To the left, a water feature and a greenside bunker await errant shots, while the right side challenges faders with a raised bunker that creates the illusion of a closer green. The smarter play is a controlled tee shot to the middle of the fairway, setting up a manageable approach.
The sloping green allows for challenging pin placements, making shot precision essential. While birdie is within reach, underestimating this hole can quickly turn a scoring opportunity into a tough scramble for par.

HOLE 12 | PAR 4
Red: 221 | White: 325 | Blue: 335 | HDCP: 18
Hole 12 is a slight dogleg left that tempts long hitters with the chance to reach the green off the tee. It offers a wide fairway with no major hazards - aside from native grass lining both sides.
While it may seem like an ideal birdie opportunity, the green is well-defended by bunkers on both the left and right, demanding precise shot placement. A smart approach and well-executed putt can lead to a scoring chance, but careless play could turn a promising hole into a tough par save.

HOLE 13 | PAR 3
Red: 109 | White: 133 | Blue: 158 | HDCP: 16
Hole 13 has undergone a significant transformation, most notably with an expanded tee complex and improved sightlines. This straightaway par 3 now plays 158 yards from the Blue Tee, 133 yards from the White Tee, and 109 yards from the Red Tee.
The removal of trees around the tee area has opened up the flight path, providing golfers with a clear view of the green. The enlarged teeing surface allows for varied setups, while newly added bunkers on both sides of the green demand precision off the tee.
A well-struck shot can lead to a great birdie opportunity, but accuracy is essential to avoid the sand and secure a par.

HOLE 14 | PAR 4
Red: 275 | White: 348 | Blue: 365 | HDCP: 12
Hole 14 is a well-balanced par 4. With a generous fairway landing area, players can swing confidently off the tee, but the creek on the left and native grass on the right still require attention.
The key to scoring well lies in the approach. The narrow green is well-protected by bunkers on all sides, demanding precision on the second shot. With smart shot placement, this hole presents a strong birdie opportunity - at the very least, a solid chance at par.

HOLE 15 | PAR 3
Red: 162 | White: 175 | Blue: 189 | HDCP: 5
Hole 15 has seen minimal changes, but it remains one of the more challenging par 3s on the course. This straightaway hole requires both distance and precision.
The most notable updates include an enlarged tee complex and a generously wide fairway. The undulating green, already a test for golfers, is now further protected by an additional bunker on the left, complementing the existing one.
Don’t underestimate this hole - accurate shot placement is essential to navigating the sloping green and giving yourself a solid chance at par.

HOLE 16 | PAR 4
Red: 288 | White: 298 | Blue: 314 | HDCP: 13
Hole 16 is a tempting par 4 that offers players a chance to go for the green off the tee. It features a generous fairway landing area with minimal hazards - until you reach the green.
A newly added greenside approach bunker sits directly in front of the green, creating a strategic risk-reward challenge. The shallow green slopes off the middle in both directions, making precise shot placement crucial.
While par is well within reach, securing a birdie demands accuracy both off the tee and on the approach.

HOLE 17 | PAR 5
Red: 368 | White: 568 | Blue: 580 | HDCP: 17
Hole 17, the longest hole on the course, is a dogleg left par 5 that demands strategic play and precise shot placement.
The fairway is narrow and zigzags toward the green, requiring a well-placed tee shot to avoid the trees on the left and the native grass on the right. While some may attempt to cut the corner by going over the trees, the smarter play is to keep the ball in play and navigate the hole as designed.
A well-positioned tee shot sets up a wide-open second shot, allowing players to carefully plan their approach. The green is elongated and well-protected by front bunkers, making accuracy essential. A precise approach shot is key to setting up a birdie opportunity, but this hole rewards patience and smart decision-making.

HOLE 18 | PAR 4
Red: 285 | White: 352 | Blue: 369 | HDCP: 6
Hole 18 is a slight draw par 4, providing a reachable challenge to end your round. The fairway offers a generous landing area, but missing the fairway on either side could result in trouble with native grass. A solid tee shot sets up a chance for an aggressive approach to the green, but the true test comes when hitting into the elevated green complex.
The green is protected by bunkers in front and is surrounded by severe slopes, making precise shot placement essential. The 35-yard deep green presents a challenging putting surface, and overshooting could lead to a difficult chip shot to save par. Hole 18 provides a thrilling finale, with a beautiful view of the clubhouse and a perfect spot to enjoy a meal and drinks!
